About me

Hey there! My name is Raven Montoya, and if you need extra depth for your project, I'm ready and eager to provide. When I was young, I woke up in the middle of the night and heard my father playing Devil May Cry on the PlayStation 2 downstairs. He let me sit with him and watch him play, even though it was a school night. That was one of the closest moments I've had with him, and it is the main driving force that led me towards becoming a Game Designer. More than anything, what I want to do as a game designer is to make those moments people carry with them, the stories told, the journeys taken, and the experiences shared.

Through my many trials, I have developed my skills to create worlds in which people can get lost. If you need a worldbuilder, scriptwriter, or someone to facilitate communication between designers, programmers, and artists for the sake of the engagement of an experience, then look no further. As a team member, I am eager to collaborate and have experience guiding the development process and enhancing engagement. As long as I know what is needed and have a guiding hand to draw me back when my view grows too far, I will walk whatever path is necessary to reach the summit of a project's potential.

As mentioned, I want to create experiences that people will carry with them. Not for the rest of their lives, maybe not even for a month, but for long enough that they feel a glimmer of that same joy I felt with my father on that day as a child. I want to create worlds players want to learn more about and learn more about themselves along the way. I want to create characters people can aspire to and relate to. I want to pave a path littered with little distractions for people to marvel at along the fantastic road of life. If even one person speaks to another with that spark of inspiration regarding my work, I'll know I put a little of my heart into the world and it touched someone, even for a moment. What creator could ask for more than that?

I have always found myself drawn in by games that allow players to immerse themselves in bizarre, fascinating worlds that open their minds to experiences they never imagined. When I'm not working on my career or helping my family, I like to watch new shows and play new games to get inspiration, spend time with friends and family, and study my latest hyper-fixation.
